Saturday was a good day... Went to MY jiejie's housewarming party... She bought the apartment just opposite 85 market... What a great place... After the upgrading's done there, they now have an extra room off the kitchen and lift that stops at every floor... Plus the fact that transportation is so much better there with alot of buses going to most parts of Singapore... AND! The great food at 85... Yummy! Missed that place so much... Good memories of that place...

In the late afternoon, we walked around in Bedok central... My childhood growing up place had seen so many changes since I was last there... It was wonderful to see new shops popping up, and even more so seeing the old ones which survived for so long... We did our fortnightly grocery shopping and bought super many things and also dinner back home to eat...

Today, we planned a surprise dinner for my mother... Her birthday's coming up so we decided to invite all the little children and their parents along... My youngest uncle and his family came along as well... 2 full tables man... Had a 10 course dinner which included cold crab (yum!), shark fin soup (yum-yum!) and oatmeal prawns (yum-yum-yum!)...

Many of them were already full halfway through the dinner... I managed to sail through it... Heh heh... I still have space for more though... But I shall not indulge... I've binged enough for this weekend... I had wanted to run tonight... But I see it as a problem now that I am too weighed down by food...

Around the afternoon, a crazy thunderstorm blew into the northern side of Singapore... Huge winds blew and lightnings flashed, thunders roared... Great weather to sit and read with a nice cup of tea... But the destruction is horrible... On my way out, I saw many fallen trees... The traffic light at the cross junction also was not functioning and the poor policemen had to stand in the rain and direct traffic la...


I even saw a car which crashed into something and its bonnet was almost gone lor... Horrible when accidents happened due to bad weather... The rain was definitely that heavy that the visibility is very bad...

Anyway, it's the end of the weekend... Made plans with E for coffee tml night... Can't wait... So much to talk about man... Heh heh...
